Oslo Street Food · Brand & Digital · 2021–2024

A system for a venue
that never stands still.

Identity, space and campaigns for a food hall in a historic Oslo bathhouse.

Overview

Over three years I led the identity and its rollout across the building, campaigns, site and everyday materials — so a changing programme still read as one place.

Timeline

2021–2024

Outcome

One system for wayfinding, events and daily use inside a multi-vendor hall.

Role

Lead designer — identity, space and campaigns

Scope

Identity · Environmental graphics · Campaigns · Website · Everyday materials

The Challenge

The hall had to stay one brand while food concepts, events and hours kept changing.

The system also had to work as information: where to go, what is on, what is open — without looking like generic signage.

Identity

A modular identity built on contrast: a hand-drawn mark, structured type, a short loud palette and simple geometry.

The mark takes its bathtub silhouette from Torggata Bad (1925). The line stays informal; the form stays readable on a sign, a menu and a screen.

Logo

Circles and arcs from the mark, plus colour fields and cropped type, so each campaign can shift without leaving the brand.

In the building

Inside a busy multi-zone hall the identity is also an information system: directions, hours, menus, service and waste signs. Clear hierarchy, modular colour, still informal.

Campaign

Shared type, colour and mark. Photography and composition change with daytime, nightlife, seasons and food offers.

Website

The site carries the same voice into a practical platform: concepts, events, hours.

Hierarchy first, expression second — content changes often.

Everyday

Menus, packaging, apparel, service signs, social — same rules at small scale.

Outcome

Across 2021–2024 the identity became an operating toolkit for the venue: wayfinding, campaigns, digital and daily service. Independent food concepts could sit inside one recognizable place.
